Amsterdam Board Game Design is a community of designers that occasionally meet and playtest each other's games. While based in Amsterdam, the group also spans other major cities across the Netherlands. After the initiative of Ruud from Wulfhorn Games, 3 different designers came together, to publish their games and tell the stories they wanted to tell. This collaboration gave birth to the Amsterdam Board Game Design Seasons, a platform for up and coming designers!

We first encountered Amsterdam Board Game Design at the Zuiderspel board game convention, where the community driven aspect was very clear. This was what we wanted to emphasize the most in their video trailer for their Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. The video focuses on the designers working together, but also the individuality of each game, which led us to the decision to have each designer recorded separately and present their own game. It ends by explaining that this is an effort to create a platform for new designers and the wish to create future Seasons.
